Hyundai Motor India Shares Drop 2% Amid Dividend Announcement and Weak Quarterly Results

Hyundai Motor India's shares fell 2.03% to ₹2,529 during Wednesday's afternoon session, despite declaring a final dividend of ₹21 per share. The stock opened at ₹2,581 and hit an intraday low of ₹2,476.40, with sell orders dominating at 82,658 versus 45,516 buys. Trading volumes reached 14.72 lakh shares worth ₹369.89 crore, with deliverable quantity accounting for 41.77% of total trades.

The automaker's financial performance showed declining revenue and net profit for the quarter ending June 2025, with revenue dropping to ₹16,412.88 crore from ₹17,344.23 crore year-over-year. Net profit also slipped to ₹1,369.23 crore from ₹1,489.65 crore. Full-year revenue for 2025 marginally decreased to ₹69,192.89 crore from ₹69,829.06 crore in 2024.

Despite the weak performance, Hyundai maintains a strong balance sheet with a debt-to-equity ratio of 0.05 and a current ratio of 1.42, signaling financial stability. The stock is trading NEAR its 52-week low of ₹1,541.70, recorded in April 2025, while its 52-week high of ₹2,624.50 was hit just yesterday.
